American Photonics' Bradenton, Florida facility was built in 2000 with the utmost precision and manufacturing in mind. The facility houses the latest equipment for CNC optical grinding and CNC optical polishing. Whether it's the flat, spherical or aspherical curves you need, APC can produce them in prototypes or production volumes to meet any requirement.
APC's grinding department is able to model parts to any customer specification and can supply blanks generated on zinc selenide (ZnSe), multispectral zinc sulfide (ZnS MS), germanium (Ge), silicon (Si) and arsenide of gallium (GaAs). Round, square and rectangular are precisely shaped and are available in any material in any quantity.
APC's polishing department incorporates high-volume CNC methods for both spherical curves and double-sided planes, as well as conventional polishing spindles for low volumes and special sizes. The quality of the surface and optics produced by this department regularly exceeds industry standards. Together with the high quality THIN FILM COATINGS, APC is able to produce finished infrared optics according to most customer specifications.
